January 30th is National Plan Your Vacation Day, and what better way to celebrate than planning your next Regal Oaks Orlando vacation! We are your go-to source for all things vacation planning. From theme park thrills to a day by the pool, here is how we would spend a week in Orlando.

Day 1: Check in and Explore!

We know traveling can be exhausting, so take it easy on your first day in Orlando! After checking into Regal Oaks, take a second to unpack and soak in the serenity that you’ll find in your townhome. With amenities like a kitchen and a hot tub on the patio, there’s no need to leave your home after check-in if you don’t want to!

Grab some groceries and make a nice meal, or take a short walk to our clubhouse where you’ll find the HUB, serving delicious dinner favorites for the family. Watch the sunset from your porch as you await the adventures in store for you on your vacation.

Day 2: Day Trip to Busch Gardens

Where else can you find thrilling rollercoasters and riveting animals in the same place? Busch Gardens is the perfect day-trip destination if you’re looking for a combination of thrills and animal interactions. Adults in your family will love the scream-inducing rides and attractions the park has to offer. Animal lovers will come close to creatures like hippos, giraffes, and elephants. Traveling with children? Sesame Place combines beloved characters and tiny attractions for little ones to enjoy.

If you want to enhance your Busch Gardens experience, book a Serengeti Safari. This award-winning animal encounter will bring you up close and personal with some of the park’s most loved animals. If you have a favorite animal, be sure to check out the Busch Gardens website to see what tours are available. Don’t miss out on the chance to meet your favorites!

Day 3: Pool Day and Game Night

After a wild day at Busch Gardens, take this day to relax and unwind. Regal Oaks has your back with a gorgeous pool that satisfies the kids and adults. The best part: two exciting waterslides! Adults can grab a drink from our outdoor bar while the kids ride the slides and play outdoor games like ping pong and connect four.

Once you’re ready for a bite, grab dinner at the HUB and play some games! We feature several board and card games in the restaurant to bring fun for the whole family. If board games aren’t your style, we have an arcade with a variety of games that is sure to bring out the competitive side in everyone!

Day 4: Walt Disney World

A trip to Orlando simply isn’t complete without a trip to Walt Disney World! With four parks to choose from, there’s excitement around every corner at Disney. Hit all four parks, choose one, or somewhere in between. EIther way, you’ll experience magic like never before. Disney is a full-day (if not a multiple day) attraction, so budget that into your vacation timeline.

For ticketing help, stop by the clubhouse and see our ticket representatives for a smooth ticket process!

Day 5: Local Spotlight-Downtown Winter Garden

Looking to experience Orlando like a local? We’re here to help. Downtown Winter Garden is just one of many hidden gems in the Central Florida area that you should check out on your trip. Stroll the historic red-brick streets and shop small in this quaint town.

From fun, lively restaurants and bars to family-owned bakeries, everyone will find their new favorite spot in Winter Garden. Local recommended restaurants include Plant Street Market (you can’t go wrong with any vendor), The Whole Enchilada, Three Birds Cafe, and a mandatory stop at Scoops Old Fashioned Ice Cream Store for dessert!

The Farmer’s Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-1PM, so if you happen to plan a trip on the weekend it’s a must stop! Find anything from fresh produce to handmade jewelry from the dozens of vendors that come out every week.

Day 6: Universal Studios

Calling all movie lovers! Universal Studios is another theme park that calls Orlando its home. With dozens of attractions based on your favorite movies and TV shows, there’s so much to do! Stop an alien attack with Men In Black, or fly to the Green Planet in ET’s Adventure. Universal Studios is filled with family fun.

If you are seeking more of a thrill, check out Universal’s second sister park, Islands of Adventure. There you’ll find exciting roller coasters like The Incredible Hulk, The Velocicoaster, and Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure. Step into the world of Harry Potter or take a tour through Jurassic Park!

Day 7: I-Drive Excitement

International Drive is home to some of Orlando’s top tourist attractions. Here you’ll find escape rooms, arcades, and more! Icon Park is home to the Orlando Eye, a 40-minute ferris wheel-type ride overlooking the city. You’ll also find a wax museum and an aquarium!

Dedicate this day to finding your best souvenirs and making your final memories on this trip to Regal Oaks and Orlando. After an early dinner at one of I-Drive top dining establishments, make your way back to your townhome and soak in those last moments of quality time at Regal Oaks. Take lots of photos, and share them with us here for a chance to win a free stay!

There is so much to do and see in Orlando, and we barely scratched the surface. Everybody’s trip is going to look different, and we hope that our recommendations help guide you in finding the perfect vacation for you.
