Tried and true, Lake Eola in downtown Orlando is always on our holiday to-do list. Grab the family and take a leisurely stroll around the heart of downtown, taking in the Christmas music gently piping in around the centerpiece of the beautiful lake.


The city does a wonderful job in decorating, and you’ll enjoy walking through the many light displays complete with a lighted fountain experience. Lake Eola also features some fantastic holiday selfie spots with festive backdrops along the way. Bonus points for FREE.


Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas Eve

Take in a show at the Amway Center with multi-platinum progressive rock group the Trans-Siberian Orchestra! The group is coming to Orlando with one day only of its much-anticipated Winter Tour.


Take part in a night of music and celebration at the 25th anniversary of the TSO’s hit album “Christmas Eve and Other Stories.” It’s a mind blowing treat for the senses, and you can grab tickets now for the goosebump-inducing performance on Dec.18.


Home for the Holidays Festival Park


Pop a squat at Orlando’s Festival Park and enjoy a caroltastic event with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, The Holiday Singers and surprise guests as you revel in your Christmas favorites. At just $10, this one is affordable for just about anyone. We kinda love Christmas in the outdoors!


Disney Very Merriest After Hours

While Disney’s 50th Anniversary celebration is stealing the spotlight from Christmas a bit this year, you can still get a taste of the Disney holiday tradition at Disney Very Merriest After Hours, a new event this year that features character interactions, themed fireworks, seasonal treats and much more. Take in the light show on Cinderella’s Castle, explore jolly trimmings throughout Main Street and munch on holiday-themed food and drinks. Disney simply never disappoints.


Epcot International Festival of the Holidays


Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays runs all December long. Featuring a Yuletide Processional accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and choir, there are a range of family-friendly holiday experiences to choose from. Holiday cookie stroll, anyone? Don’t mind if we do.


And since it’s Epcot, you can expect an international flavor in food, drink and celebration that is sure to delight!


Universal Orlando Resort

Touted as the “biggest, loudest, awesomest holiday celebration of the season,” Universal Orlando is not scared to take the crown this year. Featuring a holiday parade with characters including the Minions as well as Shrek and Madagascar characters, seasonal shows in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the Grinchmas musical, there are a variety of fun ways to celebrate the holidays at Universal Orlando.


If you’re lucky, you can even grab tickets to a two-night cabaret show of “Christmas with the Countess” starring Real Housewives of New York City’s Luann de Lesseps!


Dazzling Nights at Leu Gardens


Our outdoor holiday celebration continues with an extravaganza for the senses. Take a relaxing stroll through music, lights and interactive experiences that transform this beautiful botanical garden into a winter wonderland.


It’s definitely a wow factor with an awesome light maze, nearly 200 moroccan lanterns and lush, fragrant gardens along your pathway. Ahhh!
