Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens is the sister park to SeaWorld Orlando and perfect for those who love both thrills and animals. Get up close and personal with gentle giants such as giraffes, elephants, and more! Not only is this park full of educational fun on some of the world’s coolest creatures, but is also home to some of the tallest, fastest, roller coasters in Florida.

With thrills, animals, and top-tier entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Busch Gardens. This day trip is just over an hour from Regal Oaks.


Kennedy Space Center

Kennedy Space Center is a space lover’s dream. Located about an hour from Regal Oaks, it is a must do for the whole family. Experience interactive displays, rich history, and space memorabilia to take in from some of our great space accomplishments throughout the years. If you time your trip right, you may even be able to see one of NASA or SpaceX’s many launches that take off right from the coast! You can even take a tour of the space port.

St. Augustine

St. Augustine is the nation’s oldest city and is full of rich history and culture. This coastal destination offers visitors a glimpse into centuries past with its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture, historic forts, and cobblestone streets. Explore the legendary Castillo de San Marcos, stroll through the vibrant Historic District with its unique shops and restaurants, and soak in the serene beauty of the Matanzas Bay.

Dinosaur World

If you are traveling with young children, Dinosaur World is a day trip worth considering during your time in Florida! Located less than an hour from Regal Oaks, it is Central Florida’s only outdoor museum dedicated to dinosaurs. This is an immersive experience your dino-loving kiddos will love. This location is over 20 acres large, full of hands-on experiences and life-sized dinosaurs for you and your family to enjoy.


Weeki Wachee

Weeki Wachee is a local Florida spring town full of southern charm. Their biggest attraction is their live mermaid show, currently featuring the classic tale of The Little Mermaid. Watch as your kids dazzle in awe at the mermaid gracefully swimming through the waters. Other attractions include kayaking and paddle boarding. There are also opportunities to soak in Buccaneer Bay, or take a river cruise down Weeki Wachee river! This outdoor attraction has been open since the 1940s, and is loved by many. The trip is about two hours from Regal Oaks.


St. Pete Beach

Lucky for visitors of Orlando, we are so central that there are tons of beaches for you to brand out and discover! Our personal suggestion is St. Pete Beach, since it offers so much more than its sandy beaches. This town is full of charm, including local coffee shops, surf shops, and more. This beachside destination is perfect for those looking to blend relaxation and adventure. St. Pete Beach is about two hours from Regal Oaks.
